Saturday, August 21st, 2010

This is nothing else than amazing footage.

We have used only one interview so far from D-Nice TV, and was an interview with Dres, during our Native Tongue month.
Well now it’s about time point you, if you haven’t seen it so far, with all of those amazing interview, which will bring you back in the days for a minute.
Enjoy and thanks to D-Nice for this footage and we can only say, keep ’em coming.
“This is the story of a homeless rapper I met on the streets of Brooklyn. I feel for him because it’s quite obvious he suffered a great deal as a child. I don’t agree with how he lived his life but everyone deserves to be forgiven”.

Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (Remix) VLS 1995

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

In 1995, ‘Cinderfella’ Dana Dane released his last album to date “Rollin’ Wit’ Dane“. It was mostly produced by LA’s DJ Battlecat. The album had a west coast g-funk feel to it but Dana Dane still carried his ‘Fort Greene Skillz’. The first 12″ released for the album was called ‘Record Jock'(see video here). He then followed with the self-titled album 12″ ‘Rollin’ Wit Dane’ which i’m posting today. The original version of “Rollin’ Wit Dane” (produced by Battlecat) uses the “Mary Jane” sample; it also features Adina Howard with the background vocals. It’s a great joint to play in the summer! I also embedded the video below the download link. The main track on the a-side is the remix though; titled “Phat & Like Dat Mix”. I think that east coast heads might prefer it better than the original; a type of joint to boom it in your jeep. On the b-side along with the original & a slightly remixed version comes the “Bonus Beat Box Mix”; this is for the old school heads! A great 12″ to own & add to your collection! Enjoy,

A1. Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (Phat & Like Dat Mix)
A2. Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (A Capella)
A3. Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (Remix Instrumental)
B1. Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (Jack Trade Mix)
B2. Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (Bonus Beat Box Mix)
B3. Dana Dane – Rollin’ Wit Dane (Album Version)
