Remember Tracey Lee?

Back in 1997, Philly born Tracey Lee dropped his  single “The Theme (It’s Party Time) and was instantly winning on the airwaves. Lee was still enrolled at Howard University when he released his debut album Many Facez, same school Puffy graduated from, hence the “Keep Your Hands High” collabo with Biggie. Both Big and Puff would frequently appear on campus doing shows so naturally the connection was made.

After the album dropped nobody heard from Tracey for years. He was no longer on Universal Records, no longer rapping. What he was doing was studying at Southern U in Baton Rouge for his law degree. Currently Tracey serves as a music attorney, but he also couldn’t stay away from the mic. Below is the latest video from Tracey Lee & The Reepz titled “New Jack City.”  –Philaflava
