Loud Records “The Set-Up” Promo Tape (1997)

It’s taken me a long time, but as promised, here is a 320 rip for the 1997 promo sampler “The Set-Up.” It’s mostly made up of tracks everyone knows from nine seven, but it also contains 2 tracks that were never released: The Dwellas “The Main Aim” and Aäsim D’XplicitFly Shit” (misspelled as D’Xpicit on the tape and sleeve). The .rar file contains all the scans including the back cover and a full scan of the sleeve.

a1 Big Punisher-You Ain’t A Killer

a2 Davina-So Good
a3 Dead Prez.-Food, Clothes and Shelter
a4 The Dwellas-The Main Aim
a5 Aäsim D’Xplicit-Fly Shit

b1 Chef Raekwon-Wu Gambinos (Hidden Chamber)
b2 The Likx feat. ODB-Hip-Hop Drunkies
b3 Mobb Deep-In The Long Run
b4 Yvette Michele-I’m Not Feeling You
b5 Xzibit-At The Speed Of Life
b6 Sadat X-Game’s Sober

Actually, that Cella Dwellas track was released on the “Soul In The Hole” soundtrack. If you’re a Wu-collector like I was (sounds like it from your Tony Touch/Sunz of Man mixtape post), you probably own it already; if not, cop it, it’s got “Diesel” (by the Clan) and “Soul In The Hole” by the Wu All-Stars (Shyheim, Tekitha, Timbo King, & Killa Sin), as well as a few other slick cuts!

Is there anywhere I can get Aasim D’Xplicit’s Fly Shit instrumental? One of the best hip hop songs I have every heard.
