Midwest Starting Line

The midwest is an enigma. It’s a melting pot for hip hop due in large part to its location and musical diversity. Chicago is far removed from either shore. The heartland exhibits both east and west coast influences. ‘Who’s Da Killa’ is worlds away from ‘Next Contestant’ but each is unequivocally dope for their own style. Both represent the ‘Windy City’. Here’s volume 1 of the midwest’s best, with more to come.

Why is Schoolly D on a midwest mix ? It fit well, and he’d pound Twista in a cage fight. That’s why.
